Knife 31
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Knife 31 (K-31) was the callsign for a GA-TL1 Longsword fighter attached to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552. During the opening stages of the Battle of Installation 04, it was piloted by Captains Sterling and Sagara, who served as the ship's naval flight officer and weapons officer, respectively.[1]
Service history[edit]
Knife 31 was one of five Longsword fighters attached to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn when the ship escaped from the Fall of Reach in August 30, 2552. When the ship arrived at Installation 04 on September 19, the UNSC forces were confronted with the Covenant Fleet of Particular Justice. Knife 31 was likely destroyed during the space battle over the ring.
Production notes[edit]
- Knife 31 first appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved as of the five Longswords in the opening cinematic, albeit without a callsign for identification. Its designation and the identity of its pilots were revealed in Halo: Campaign Evolved on display screens in the bridge of the Autumn. The names of the pilots are references to Max Sterling from Robotech and Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!.
- As with all Longswords depicted in Halo: Combat Evolved and its adaptations, Knife 07's model has varied across its in-game depictions. In Halo: Combat Evolved, it is a C709 Longsword. In Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, it reuses the Halo: Reach C712 Longsword model. In Halo: Campaign Evolved, it uses an unidentified Longsword variant that has a canopy which can be opened and closed—a feature that is notably absent from both the C709 and C712 variants.
