Killimanjaro
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Killimanjaro is a medal in Halo 2, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite Campaign, Firefight, Multiplayer, and Spartan Ops.
The medal was renamed to Killamanjaro starting in Halo 4, staying this way in Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite.
It is earned for killing seven enemies quickly. When the player achieves this medal, the announcer will say "Killamanjaro".
Halo: The Master Chief Collection adds the "Killamanjaro" medal into Halo: Combat Evolved 's multiplayer. It does not add a new voice line for it though.
Trivia[edit]
- The name of the medal is a play on the mountain in Tanzania, Africa, Kilimanjaro.[citation needed]
- Despite showing up in Halo 4's scoreboard as "Killamanjaro", if you get the medal in-game it will still have the old "Killimanjaro" name.
- In Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite, the kills only need to be within 4.5 seconds of each other, while in all previous Halo games it only needs to be 4 seconds.
