Shipmaster Hul 'Xiaqt was a Sangheili officer serving in the Swords of Sanghelios. In 2559, he held the post of shipmaster for the A'uzr-pattern sword frigate Sword of Harmony, having gained prestige in the Swords for his service during the Great Schism.[1] 'Xiaqt was killed with Sword of Harmony's destruction during the 2559 mission to Netherop.[2]
Biography[edit]
'Xiaqt served in the armed forces of the Covenant during the Human-Covenant War. When the empire dissolved into civil war in 2552, 'Xiaqt managed to outlive his superiors in the initial round of fighting near High Charity, becoming one of the first shipmasters to join the Swords of Sanghelios under Arbiter Thel 'Vadam. This saw him become one of the more senior officers of the nascent separatist movement despite his young age, eventually coming to have a command posting of the frigate Sword of Harmony.[1]
During the Created uprising of 2559, Shipmaster 'Xiaqt and his crew were tasked with transporting Thel 'Vadam to Netherop for a vital mission that had the potential to end the war. After arriving at Netherop, 'Xiaqt informed the Arbiter of the arrival of kaidons Olabisi Varo'dai and Ghe 'Talot, before maneuvring Sword of Harmony to match orbits with their flotilla.[1]
Later in the engagement on Netherop, the superweapon the Divine Hand was activated by Tam 'Lakosee, resulting in the destruction of all ships in Netherop's orbital space, including Sword of Harmony - leading to Hul 'Xiaqt's death alongside everyone else on board.[2]
Personality and traits[edit]
At the time of the mission the Netherop, Shipmaster 'Xiaqt was a fairly young commander. He had a stocky frame and boxy mandibles.[1]
