All there in the title. Who has set up accounts on Destinypedia? So far it's only me (craZboy557) and Porplemontage. This is craZboy557, signing off. 15:51, 17 February 2013 (EST)

I've done it. Post-apocalyptic Earth reclaiming the ruins of its empire? Awesome!--The All-knowing Sith'ari (talk) 18:38, 17 February 2013 (EST)

Where have I heard that before? Anyway, set up my account about half an hour ago. I've already done an overhaul of the main page. --Courage never dies. (talk) 18:49, 17 February 2013 (EST)
I'm not SUPER familiar with 40k, but if I'm to understand it, it's not so much reclaiming the ruins as endlessly killing and dying just to survive. Not that that wasn't an apt and amusing observation. This is craZboy557, signing off. 20:48, 17 February 2013 (EST)

Is there already an established wiki called Destinypedia? I suggest, in order to avoid conflict in community relations, to have the wiki renamed to either simply "Destiny Wiki" or "Ad Astra" (referencing "Per audacia ad astra"). Better now than never. — subtank 01:44, 18 February 2013 (EST)

It could be just Destiny Wiki for now and then change its name to something more interwined with its canon later, once more details about its story come out. Or we make them change their name! To war!!! >:C Tuckerscreator(stalk) 02:38, 18 February 2013 (EST)
I'm open to ideas I can get the .com domain for. I reached-out to them and got mostly no response and one nasty response, and that didn't make me feel sympathetic or anything. I figured it would just be something like minecraftwiki.net and minecraft.wikia.com - just live our lives separately even if the name is the same. Also, their SITENAME is "Destiny Wiki" (as is destiny.wikia.com). If I changed Destinypedia's SITENAME to Destiny Wiki then there would be three with SITENAME Destiny Wiki, and two with a Destinypedia URL. I like that we own the .com and our stuff matches. Wikia's got two Destiny wikis and their legit ones are usually "game-name".wikia.com AKA destiny.wikia.com. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with just one called "Destiny Wiki" at destiny.wikia.com somehow. Anyways, I say keep an open-mind to new names and if I can snag a good domain name for it then that's something to consider. --Steve (talk) firefox_27x15.png 02:56, 18 February 2013 (EST)
Might I suggest destinywiki.net as the domain name: .net because the game is described as a MMORPG-FPS title and it requires constant network for the game to work... get it? Hah... guess not... never mind. Anyway, with the suggestion in mind, we could also have some unique wiki name, maybe Ad Astra, to distinct ourselves from the rest of the "competing wikis" (the two wikis in Wikia are competing with one another). It would definitely stick in the minds of players when they see the motto "Per Audacia Ad Astra"... plus, we can even use that as our wiki motto (and wiki logo). Double win! — subtank 08:30, 18 February 2013 (EST)
[EDIT]: Also, make sure to get better article enforcement given what we've experienced these past few years as an independent wiki. Quality over Quantity, Accuracy/Concise over Speculation/Rumour, and of all thing... CITATIONs! Wouldn't want to repeat the ancient issues this wiki has experienced in the early days. Good luck with the wiki! — subtank 08:38, 18 February 2013 (EST)
If we're going to continue talking about the domain name, maybe move it over to the forum on Destinypedia? This is craZboy557, signing off. 09:34, 18 February 2013 (EST)
Which is here. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 15:20, 18 February 2013 (EST)
