Combat Team Zulu

Combat Team Zulu was a combat team of the UNSC Marine Corps' Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, formed from survivors of the 86th Shock Troops Battalion.

History

During the Battle for Zeta Halo, Zulu was formed from the survivors of the UNSC Infinity camped at Lifeworker Central.^[1]^{[Note 1]}

On June 6, Commander Wes Thompson assigned Zulu -- made up of Gainey, Hightower and two others -- to assist John-117 and companions. Alongside Combat Team Whiskey, Zulu formed a perimeter around the Master Chief, Joyeuse and Fernando Esparza with two of the ODSTs helping the injured Browning to move while combat teams Lima, Mike and Tango created a distraction for the Banished. Whiskey eventually broke off to deal with a Banished patrol while Zulu carried on to Echo 216. When the Master Chief detected four Banished nearby, Zulu departed to deal with them quietly.^[1]

On June 8, Zulu and the other four combat teams attended Browning's funeral.^[2]
