The ''Anlace''-class' design is considered somewhat novel for the [[UNSC Navy]], with a lifting body hull and maneuvering systems well adapted for atmospheric operations.{{Ref/Reuse|CFCalm}} The ''Anlace''-class frigate is the smallest [[frigate]] currently in service with the UNSC Navy, with a length of 372 meters (1,220 feet) - only just barely outclassing the larger classifications of [[UNSC corvette]]s such as the {{Class|Lancer|fast-attack corvette}} at 341 metres.{{Ref/Reuse|osfm}} 

Outside of physical combat, the ''Anlace'' is specialised for support roles in the fleet and can be fitted with numerous modular mission packs.
