A UNSC navigation core also known as the Data Core is the human equivalent of the Covenant Power Module made in the Misriah Armory[1].

Overview

These cores are installed within UNSC ships in use for navigation. Ship breaking facilities usually scrap such important piece and protect them. SPARTAN-IIIs are known to protect these areas from any Covenant assault[2]. If the Covenant capture one of these cores can lead them to Earth thus why they were heavily defended. The UNSC Commonwealth is the only confirmed vessel that had a navigation core.

Appearance

The core in strikingly similar to the Forerunner power core. It's overall size is a rectangular shape with multiple wires protruding from the base to the outer part. The core also glow blue much like data storage units containing AI. Many warnings are also imprinted on it's base. Handles are also put on the base for hand-held travelling.
