Template:Ship The UNSC Atlas was a carrier commissioned into the UNSC Navy prior to the beginning of the Human-Covenant War in 2525.

Operational history

Lambda Serpentis

On April 2525, the vessel went on patrol in the Lambda Serpentis system. Unknown to most of the crew, SPARTAN-II's were onboard the Atlas to recover from their augmentations and bury their dead in the microgravity atmosphere.[1]

Common throughout most ships in the fleet, the Atlas had a detachment of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers from the 105th division.[2] One morning, in the ship's gym, an argument between a young John-117 and four marines was caused by John accidentally almost crushing a Helljumper's foot with weights. It left three of the ODSTs dead and one badly wounded. It damaged the relationship and triggered off the intense rivalry between Spartans and the Helljumpers for nearly three decades.[3]

Trivia
