Tango 807 was a D77-TC Pelican attached to the Halcyon-class light cruiser UNSC Persian Gate during the opening year of the Human-Covenant War.[1]

Operational History[edit]

Battle of Alpha Corvi II[edit]

On December 3, 2525 the Spartan Blue Team was deployed to the surface of the UNSC colony of Alpha Corvi II to aid local members of the United Rebel Front in defending the planet against a Covenant ground force while in search of an ancient artifact sought out by the invaders. With the UNSC losing the battle to the Covenant in orbit, Lieutenant Commander Yao ordered Tango 807 down to the surface to retrieve Blue Team, who had completed their primary objectives.

With the extraction zone overrun, Tango 807 was forced to abandon its intended landing until the Spartans and their URF allies had killed the Covenant infantry who were attempting to destroy the dropship. With their LZ cleared, Tango 807 finally retrieved the Spartans, but denied transport to Whitaker and his men as their orders were to retrieve only Blue Team. Tango 807 then fled the planet and left the URF rebels to their fates. Enraged, John-117 confronted the dropship's lieutenant on his actions, who said he was "under orders" when the Spartan leader demanded answers.

Tango 807 returned to the Persian Gate, which then retreated into slipspace as Alpha Corvi II fell to the Covenant.[1]
