Simon & Schuster is an American publishing company which publishes a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books. In February of 2014, 343 Industries announced that they had entered into a multi-year co-publishing program with Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.[1] Most subsequent Halo novels have been published by Simon & Schuster and its various subdivisions, including Gallery Books and Pocket Star Books. The Halo novels previously had been published by Del Rey and Tor.

Halo[edit]

Most of Simon & Schuster's Halo novels are published under the Gallery Books imprint.

Simon & Schuster was contracted to publish Halo books following the last novel of Kilo-Five Trilogy, Halo: Mortal Dictata, which was published by Tor Books. The first Halo book to be published by Simon & Schuster is Halo: Broken Circle, by John Shirley, which was released on November 4, 2014.[2] On March 2, 2015, S&S published Halo: New Blood, a short novel by Matt Forbeck, under its Pocket Star Books imprint.[3] Throughout the rest of 2015, Simon & Schuster published four new novels: Halo: Hunters in the Dark, by Peter David on June 16; Halo: Saint's Testimony, by Frank O'Connor on July 27; Halo: Last Light, by Troy Denning on September 7; and Halo: Shadow of Intent, by Joseph Staten on December 7.[4] On September 20, 2016, Gallery Books published the short story anthology Halo: Fractures, which includes the print releases of Halo: Saint's Testimony and Halo: Shadow of Intent.[5] On November 28, 2016, they published Kelly Gay's novella Halo: Smoke and Shadow.[6] In 2017, they published the novels Halo: Envoy by Tobias Buckell, Halo: Retribution by Troy Denning, and Halo: Legacy of Onyx by Matt Forbeck.[7] Another novel by Forbeck, Halo: Bad Blood, was released on June 26, 2018,[8] followed by Halo: Silent Storm by Troy Denning on September 4 of that year.[9]
