Talk:Simon & Schuster

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Rename to "Simon & Schuster"[edit]

Despite the original announcement of 343i's partnership being with Gallery Books, I don't think any of the novels have actually used the label. From what I've seen, both the books and 343i's references to the publisher have used the name "Simon & Schuster" exclusively, not to mention the info on the Halo novels is always on the main S&S website rather than the Gallery Books one. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 07:00, 8 April 2016 (EDT)

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing and I agree. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 08:07, 8 April 2016 (EDT)
For what its worth, my copy of Hunters in the Dark was published under the Gallery Books imprint ("First Gallery Books trade paperback edition June 2015"). Might it vary depending on format, region, or seller? I purchased mine in a B&N on Long Island. DefeatingLine (talk) 21:45, 8 April 2016 (EDT)
They're all listed under the Gallery Imprint here: "Imprint: Gallery Sub-Imprint: Halo Books" DefeatingLine (talk) 21:55, 8 April 2016 (EDT)
Hmm. My copy of Broken Circle was published by Simon & Schuster UK, but it also says the novel was "first published in the USA by Gallery Books". Meanwhile, my digital copy of Last Light says Gallery Books, while New Blood identifies its publisher as "Pocket Star Books", another imprint of S&S. I still think retitling the page would do no harm as S&S is still the parent company, and 343i themselves consistently use the name Simon & Schuster when referring to the publisher. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 12:21, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
Just realized my copy of Hunters in the Dark (UK) was published by Titan Books, and it's far from being their only Halo release... I wonder if this affects page numbers? Imrane-117 (talk) 15:15, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
So is mine. And apparently Titan isn't even part of S&S. Odd (and kind of stealthy) that they have another, unrelated company publishing the same books without any official announcement. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 13:46, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
My Last Light and New Blood are the same as Jugus', while Shadow of Intent is also "Pocket Star Books". My Hunters in the Dark (ebook) is published by Gallery Books apparently. Don't see any mention of Titan in the ebook. I'm presuming that S&S has Titan publish their physical novels in the UK and maybe other parts of Europe. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 13:50, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
