The disorganized Eridanus Rebels were eventually brought together by Colonel Robert Watts and raised a small navy in an attempt to breakaway from the UNSC. The Eridanus system was a battleground for a short while, ending in this operation. During the battle, the rebels were routed and the remnants of their fleet fled into an asteroid belt in Eridanus Secundus.
