Malurok (English: Decided Heart) is a Sangheili base world and fortress planet,[1][2] formerly serving as a primary military world of the Covenant.[3] The planet's surface features number of barren atolls, one of which houses the state of Moram, home to the former Arbiter Ripa 'Moramee.[1] The Sangheili terrorist Parg Vol also hailed from Malurok.[2] The Malurok Armory is located somewhere on the planet.[4]

History

Originally colonized as a fortress world of the Sangheili, Malurok was a major military colony of the Covenant.[3][5] Prior to 2531, the Kig-Yar pirate price Krith led his forces on Malurok. In response, the Covenant's Ministry of Preservation deployed the native warlord Ripa 'Moramee and a strike force to Malurok to quell Krith's uprising. 'Moramee succeeded, slaughtering Krith's forces and killing the pirate prince. Shortly after, 'Moramee attempted a coup against his own kaidon in the state of Moram, leading loyal forces in an attempt to assassinate the clan's leadership. This attempt failed, and he was tried and imprisoned for his crimes at the Weeping Shadows of Sorrow.[6]

Initially following the Covenant Empire's collapse at the end of the Human-Covenant War, Malurok's status was unknown.[3] However, the planet's Malurok Armory currently produces vehicles for various Covenant remnant factions following the Great Schism, such as the Type-57 Phantom.[4]
