List of Halo 4 Medals

Template:New Content Medals are preset rewards or bonuses given in Halo 4's, Multiplayer mode, when players perform specific actions. These usually involving the killing of enemies or rival players. Medals now take on a more icon or emblem-like appearance rather than the realistic medal appearance in Halo: Reach. As there is no longer campaign scoring, medals are not awarded in campaign.

Multi-kill medals in Halo 4 are now slightly easier to achieve, with the allotted time between kills increased from 4 seconds to 4.5 seconds.

This is a list of the medals awarded in Halo 4.

	Rampage	Kill 20 opponents in a row without dying.
	Untouchable	Kill 25 opponents in a row without dying.
	Invincible	Kill 30 opponents in a row without dying.
	Inconceivable	Kill 35 opponents in a row without dying.
	Unfriggenbelievable	Kill 40 opponents in a row without dying.
	Comeback	Achieve a kill after dying 3 times in a row.
Multi-Kills
	Double Kill	Kill 2 opponents within 4.5 seconds of one another.
	Triple Kill	Kill 3 opponents within 4.5 seconds of one another.
	Overkill	Kill 4 opponents within 4.5 seconds of one another.
Kill Medals
	Kill	Generic Kill.
	Headshot	Kill an opponent with a headshot.
	Melee Kill	Hit and kill an opponent with a melee attack.
	Beat Down	Hit and kill an opponent with a melee attack from behind.
	Assassination	Kill an opponent by performing an assassination.
	Grenade Kill	Kill an opponent with a grenade explosion.
	Plasma Kill	Kill an opponent with a plasma grenade.
	Sniper Rifle Kill	Kill an opponent with a sniper rifle.
	Beam Rifle Kill	Kill an opponent with a beam rifle.
	Binary Rifle Kill	Kill an opponent with a binary rifle.
	Rocket Kill	Kill an opponent with a rocket launcher.
	Fuel Rod Cannon Kill	Kill an opponent with a fuel rod cannon.
	Railgun Kill	Kill an opponent with a railgun.
	Sword Kill	Kill an opponent with an energy sword.
	Splaser Kill	Kill an opponent with a spartan laser.
	Supercombine	Kill an opponent with a needler supercombination.
	Vehicle Kill	Kill an opponent with a vehicle weapon.
	Splatter	Hit and kill an opponent with your vehicle.
Bonus/Style Medals
	First Strike	Earn the first kill of the match.
	Headcase	Kill a sprinting opponent with a headshot.
	Reload This	Kill an opponent who is reloading.
	Kill from the Grave	Kill an opponent after you die.
	Revenge	Kill the opponent responsible for your last death.
	Avenger	Kill an opponent who recently killed your teammate.
	Protector	Save an teammate by killing his attacker.
	Close Call	Kill an opponent while your health is low and survive.
	Hijack	Board a land-based vehicle by forcibly removing the opponent in it.
	Skyjack	Board an aircraft by forcibly removing the opponent in it.
	Busted	Kill an opponent attempting to hijack or skyjack a vehicle.
	Vehicle Destroyed	Destroy an opponent's vehicle, killing the driver.
	Killjoy	End an opponent's killing spree.
	Hail Marry	Get a long range grenade kill.
	Snapshot	Kill an opponent with a sniper rifle while not zoomed in.
Assist/Support Medals
	Assist	Assist a player in achieving a kill.
	Vehicle Destroy Assist	Assist a player in destroying a vehicle.
	Wheelman	Drive a vehicle and have a passenger kill an opponent.
	Distraction	Distract a player who is then killed.
	Guardian Angel	Save a teammate's life from a long distance.
	Wingman	Get a spree of any 5 assist types.
Dominion Medals
	Base Captured	Initiate a successful base capture.
	Base Capture Initiated	Initiate a base capture.
	Capture Assist	Be within a base when it is captured.
	Capture Initiation Assist	Assist a teammate in initiating a base capture.
	Base Defense	Kill an opponent inside a base your team controls.
	Base Offense	Kill an opponent inside a base your enemy controls.
	Base Saved	Reclaim a contested base your team owns.
	Fortification Assist	Be withing a base your team controls when it is fortified.
	Resupply Assist	Be withing a base your team controls when it is resupplied.
	Turret Built	Build a base turret.
	Turret Destroyed	Destroy an enemy base turret.
	Gotcha!	Kill an enemy player while they are building a turret.
	Shield Door Destroyer	Destroy 5 enemy team shield doors.
	Survivor	Survive last stand without dying.
	Hero	Instigate a successful capture that saves the team from last stand.
Regicide Medals
	King Spree	Get 5 kills in a row as a king.
	Kingtacular	Live for 20 seconds as king.
	King Kill	Kill an opponent as the king in Regicide.
	Regicide	Kill the king.
	King Assist	Assist a player in killing the king.
Flood Medals
	Alpha Conversion	Convert a Spartan into a Flood as an Alpha.

	Hill +5	Hold and survive in the hill for 5 seconds.
	Hill +10	Hold and survive in the hill for 10 seconds.
	Vehicle Hill +5	Hold and survive in the hill for 5 seconds using a vehicle.
	Hill Dominance	Hold and survive in the hill for its entire duration.
	First Point	Be the first player to earn a point from a hill.
	Hill Defense	Kill an enemy while holding a hill.
	Hill Offense	Kill an enemy holding a hill.
	Hill Assist	Assist killing an enemy taking or holding a hill.
Capture the Flag Medals
	Flag Carrier Kill	Kill an opponent who is carrying a flag.
Oddball Medals
	Ball Holder	Hold onto the ball for 10 seconds.
	Ball Keeper	Hold onto the ball for 20 seconds.
	Ball Master	Hold onto the ball for 30 seconds.
	Ball Hog	Hold onto the ball for 45 seconds.
	Magic Hands	Hold onto the ball for 1 minute.
	Ball Kill	Kill an opponent with a melee ball attack.
	Carrier Kill	Kill an opponent holding the ball.
	Carrier Kill Assist	Assist killing an opponent holding the ball.
	Catch	Catch a ball thrown by a teammate.
