Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Deference of Darkness is an achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This achievement is obtained by completing any Halo 3: ODST level without activating VISR mode.

While the achievement can be done in any level, it is most easily done on the level Uplift Reserve, which is a relatively short level that lacks darkened indoor areas and its bright outdoor lighting makes VISR mode almost detrimental to the player.

Trivia

The achievement's name is derived from a similarly named track from the Halo 3: ODST Original Soundtrack, Deference for Darkness.
