Blue Team[1] is a United Nations Space Command SPARTAN-II military element.

Introduction

"Blue Team" is the usual designation for SPARTAN-117's squad, although because of the ambiguity of its name, may be used to name other UNSC military elements, although this has not been definitively shown.

Dossier

In its conception in 2513, Blue Team almost always consisted of five members. It was originally comprised of SPARTAN-117 (John), SPARTAN-034, (Sam), SPARTAN-087 (Kelly), SPARTAN-058 (Linda), and SPARTAN-104 (Fred). After Sam's death on the Covenant starship in the Chi Ceti System, his vacant spot was taken by SPARTAN-051 (Kurt)[2]. After Kurt's faked death by Office of Naval Intelligence Beta-5 Division, it is unknown who took Kurt's spot.

History

Training

Before the SPARTAN-IIs were deployed onto the battlefield, Blue Team often exercised versus fellow SPARTAN-II Green Team, led by SPARTAN-051 (Kurt), and "often lost"[3] because of Kurt's superior "sixth eye".

2525

In the first UNSC military operation where the SPARTAN-IIs were put to the test after their intensive training, Blue Team was sent to infiltrate the Eriandus Rebel space station Station Jefferson in the Eriandus Asteroid Belt. Blue Team stole aboard a Parabola-class Freighter, the Laden, and managed to sneak aboard Jefferson.

Côte d'Azur

Blue Team is not always neccessarily comprised of these members at all. We see that in Fall of Reach, that the Master Chief picks James and Linda to be on his team, and sent the rest to the surface of Reach. Also, on the final page of Ghosts of Onyx, we see that the Spartan III's Ash, Mark, and Olivia joined Kelly, Fred, and Linda in Blue Team.
