The Honor Guard Wraith[4] is a variant of the Type-26 Wraith employed by the Covenant.[5]
Design details
- Main article: Type-26 Wraith
The Honor Guard Wraith variant displays few major differences to other Wraiths employed in the same time frame. The primary difference comes in the form of aesthetic changes, with a paint scheme reminiscent of that employed by Sangheili Honor Guardsmen.[5]
Operational history
The Honor Guard Wraith was employed by the Covenant during the early years of the Human-Covenant War, being employed at least during 2531.[5]
Gameplay
The Honor Guard Wraith is a special skin available for the Wraith unit in Halo Wars. In the original game release, it is included as a downloadable code alongside the Fireball Warthog with a purchase of the Halo Wars Limited Edition, though was included for all players in the release of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition. The skins for both vehicles can be toggled on/off as a setting in the in-game menus, in which the Honor Guard skin will replace all player-owned Wraiths, no matter what upgrade stage they are at.
