Ascon is a location, likely a star or planet, where Supreme Commander Luro 'Taralumee's Third Fleet of Glorious Consequence was located in 2544, following the capture of Doctor Catherine Halsey at the Battle of Miridem.[1][2][3] Once at Ascon, the fleet prepared to rendezvous with the fleets of Furious Retribution and Rigorous Prayer, though due to interference from the local star's magnetic field, the fleet was temporarily unable to enable their slipspace drives.[4] Spartan-II Blue Team used this delay as an opportunity to rescue Halsey from the fleet.[1]
