The Broadsword is a single-ship atmospheric/exoatmospheric (A/X) strike fighter used by the UNSC Defense Force. The MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Aviator helmet is recommended for use by Broadsword crew members.[1][2] Like other UNSC A/X attack craft, the Broadsword is named after a bladed weapon.
Speculation
It is possible that the unidentified aircraft seen at the Template:UNSCship's commissioning ceremony in the Commissioning trailer are Broadswords. If so, the Broadsword's airframe is much sleeker than the GA-TL1 Longsword's, being more similar in design to the B-65 Shortsword.
