Halo Wars: The Authentic Collectors Series (2009-2010)
In 2009, MEGA Brands introduced its first Halo-themed construction sets under the title of Halo Wars: The Authentic Collectors Series. The initial wave comprised of seven sets, each based on the Halo Wars video game. The sets usually featured a few micro action figures along with a vehicle or structure based on assets players could see in the game. The most popular figure of the line, featured at least once in almost every set, was the Mark IV Spartan-II. It went on to become an icon for the brand.
Halo: The Authentic Collectors Series (2010-2012)
MEGA continued producing Halo-themed sets into 2010, now under the broader line name of Halo: The Authentic Collectors Series. The sets could now feature characters, vehicles and scenarios that didn't appear in Halo Wars, taking inspiration from other titles, such as Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. Over time, the line gained more variety with the introduction of sub-themes, such as the terrain-focused Battlescape series or the red vs blue-themed Versus sets.
Halo (2012-2017)
The line was rebranded once more in 2012, around the release of the new Halo 4-inspired set wave, completely ditching the Authentic Collector's Series subname. Simply branded as Halo, the line went on to be produced even after Mattel's acquisition of MEGA Brands in 2014. It is around that time that the line underwent a major upgrade by introducing super poseable action figures that allowed for more customization and a wider range of articulation, bringing it more in line with the [[[Call Of Duty]]] toys MEGA introduced the previous year.
Mega Construx Halo (2017-2022)
Having acquired MEGA Brands in 2014, Mattel decided to rebrand the Mega Bloks branch into Mega Construx in the effort to appeal to a larger audience of customers. Halo sets would continue to be produced under the new brand for years to come, releasing products inspired by new and old games alike. The line saw a lot of public spotlight in 2020, when details about the new Halo Infinite-inspired toy wave made their way online. Having been revealed before the game's gameplay showcase, the sets provided a first look at much of the title's content, such as new weapons (e.g. the shock rifle, the mangler), vehicles (e.g. the skiff), and even characters (e.g. Hyperius). In spite of the game's delay, sets based on the title still released the same year. However, due to Infinite not releasing when expected, the next waves had to be modified at the last minute to avoid spoiling key plot points.
Mega Halo (2022-now)
MEGA underwent the process of another line rebrand in 2022, re-releasing sets from the Mega Construx Infinite line with new packaging, now labeled simply as Mega, simplyfying the branding. Future sets continued this trend. The line's range of adapted material expanded in 2024 with the release of a small wave of sets inspired by the Halo (TV Series), featuring characters mainly known from the Silver Timeline, such as Soren-066 and Silver Team. As of 2025, the last Halo set released by Mega is the Halo 2 20th Anniversary Pack. In light of the creation of Mattel's very own Brick Shop, as well as the firing of many MEGA employees, the future of the line is currently unclear.
