Story[edit]

Shouldn't we add some sort of story line to spartan ops and add the cinematic's onto this page? S225 13:49 22nd November 2012 (PST)

Yes, its called the "Summary" of each individual mission during each episode. -Killjax (talk | contribs)

Second half of S1?[edit]

S1E6-10 will be released on 1.21. Is this valuable information to be added to this page?--Death will follow you...but you can survive 01:59, 19 December 2012 (EST)

Honestly, I'm not sure. Sp Ops simply went on a short break between the season. I don't think it's notable enough to put on the page. But that's just my opinion. Now I think the annoucement of Season 2 is notable enough but that's a ways off.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:28, 19 December 2012 (EST)

Trailers[edit]

Do we include the trailers for Sp Ops on this page? Farvoo 23:57, 21 December 2012 (EST)

Selecting a new co-op mission on Spartan Ops[edit]

Okay, having just recently gotten the game for Christmas, I'm coming up a little confused. Is it possible to pick a new episode of Spartan Ops on co-op after completing one, or do you have to play it through for like a day or something? Because I am really confused and the article doesn't say a thing about it. -- SFH (talk) 23:27, 27 December 2012 (EST)

It should be possible to pick a new episode after completing one. However my belief is that the first five episodes should be available to you already. How many episodes are available to you? Also what do you mean by co-op? Local or through XBL?--Killamint [Comm|Files] 04:49, 28 December 2012 (EST)
XBL. I can select the chapters by myself just find, but matchmaking only stays on one. Is that supposed to happen? -- SFH (talk) 12:23, 28 December 2012 (EST)
Unfortunately 343i has control over what episodes/chapters we play when it comes to matchmaking. At this point they have the "best of" chapters for matchmaking (the ones I believe they thought players liked/played the most). We can't select "find a game" for our choice of individual chapters, only ones they have set in their playlist (which usually only consist of five chapters). Its screwy because you can only play solo on the other chapters unless someone else has a gold account and joins your game/party. When episode 6 comes out on the 21st of next month then matchmaking will be made available for that episode for the whole week, and move on to episode 7, 8, 9, and 10 in that order of every new week. On a quick note, the episodes 6-10 trailer says "watch episodes with your friends". Unless they're referring to "friends" you meet through matchmaking, you CANNOT watch/play episodes with your local/offline friends. Maybe they're hinting at a title update to change all that hopefully.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:45, 28 December 2012 (EST)
Okay. Thank you for clarifying. -- SFH (talk) 16:41, 28 December 2012 (EST)

Icebreaker[edit]

Why was Murphy, a Lieutenant, in charge of Icebreaker Squad? Thought it was standard protocol in the UNSC for them to command platoons. Tex the Spartan

Proposal[edit]

Since there isn't going to be a second season of Spartan Ops, the "S1/" disambiguation we use for episodes is no longer really necessary. It was made to differentiate between seasons, which of course is no longer happening. I propose to remove the "S1/" from the episode/chapter titles since it's no longer necessary, while keeping the subpage division for each individual chapter of each episode. In the unlikely event Spartan Ops resumes in the future, we can simply revert back to the "S1/", "S2/", and etc. disambiguation.--Spartacus TalkContribs 13:34, 25 November 2013 (EST)

Makes sense to me. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:01, 26 November 2013 (EST)
I agree. Concise titles are always better. --Our vengeance is at hand. Gravemind.svg (Talk to me.) 11:35, 26 November 2013 (EST)
