Source for in-game appearance?

I notice the production note does not cite any sources for the pretty significant detail that Palmer is one and the same as the marine voiced by Laura Prepon. Is this information based on inference, or is it something a developer or writer actually stated? The production note does also point out that the book character is significantly different to and is encountered by the Chief under different circumstances. If they have not been verifiably established as the same character, this encyclopedia should not make them so. WinterLance5316 (talk) 14:51, August 11, 2026 (UTC)

Looking through the page history, it looks like this page originally only referred to the Palace Hotel character up until an image of the Halo 2 marine was added in 2014, and then people just built atop that. I'd hold off on removing the Halo 2 info until we can verify that the marine isn't called palmer in the game files or something like how CE's marines had names (or some other alternative source).
