BIG UNANSWERED QUESTION[edit]

How the hell did she survive reach?!? SPARTAN-225 14:52, 9 August 2013 (GMT)

Given as she was not among the Spartan survivors who were part of the defense of the orbital defense generators, it appears she was not at the Fall of Reach. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 02:24, 9 August 2013 (EDT)

Is her helmet a Mark V[B] or Mark V?[edit]

Looking from the top, I always figured it was a Mark V helmet. But with the retconning that the base armor platform present in Halo: Reach is actually the Mark V[B] and is different in appearance from the Mark V seen in Halo: CE and CE Anniversary, it might seem plausible that her helmet would follow suit and be the Mark V[B] variant as well. It does show up as the Mark V[B] helmet on the cover of Mortal Dictata (despite having the wrong color finish and visor), though this cover art is obviously not intended as depicting a canon event as MJOLNIR armor would not have been around when Naomi was a child, and it honestly just looks like an homage to the ending of Halo: Reach. So we shouldn't take Mortal Dictata's cover art as evidence. The Thursday War actually does make reference to Naomi's decision to change her suit's aesthetics to that of the Mark V, though the cover art depicts the Mark V[B] suit (with what I think is a Mark V helmet). The cover could have been illustrated before the retconning that Halo: Reach's and CE/CE Anniversary's armor sets are two different sets, or the use of the phrase "Mark V" in the book could have been used loosely. Basically, this is all a convoluted mess caused by a clash of artistic license and the canon wiggle-ins used by 343 to tie it all together. In the end, I don't know what to trust. Her helmet on the cover of Mortal Dictata doesn't resemble how it was described in the books, so I won't go with that. The cover of The Thursday War might be a better point of reference, so I think discerning what helmet it is should be done from here. And to me, it looks like a Mark V.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 20:10, 20 August 2014 (EDT)
