Talk:Covenant rope

"Unnamed"[edit]

Wasn't the previous title clearly enough a description? First Strike calls them ropes and they're definitely used by the Covenant so I don't really see a problem with the title "Covenant rope". That, and I doubt we'll ever get a more precise title than that. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 03:01, 9 May 2011 (EDT)

It'll never be named.-- Forerunner 13:26, 9 May 2011 (EDT)
Precisely. That's why I thought the original title, "Covenant rope", would be sufficient. How would you name a rope anyway? --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 14:09, 9 May 2011 (EDT)

Rename[edit]

Why not rename this to energy tether? Seeing that one of the pages that redirects here is "Energy Tether".-- Commander Spartacus ~ ŤДŁĶ ~ ĈʘŃŤṜǏΒŨŤǏʘŃŞ ~ ĚṂДǏŁ 14:58, 26 December 2011 (EST)

Because that seems to be an entirely fan-given name. The page used to be called that before being moved to its current title, which is more neutral and makes no assumptions as to the nature of the rope. In fact, since the Energy Tether name seems to have no basis on facts, and no page links to it, it's better to delete it so people won't confuse it for a proper name. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 15:09, 26 December 2011 (EST)
