SYCAMORE

SYCAMORE was a bioweapon developed by the Materials Group of the Office of Naval Intelligence during the Human-Covenant War. The weapon was designed for use against the alien species of the Covenant, and was co-developed alongside the Project SYCAMORE CBRN module for the YPSILON-class Mjolnir helmet. The bioweapon, and the accompanying module, were field-tested by SPARTAN-IIs against the Covenant.[1]
