List of REQ packs
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
REQ Packs are a form of progression system for unlocking player customization options, loadout options, and power item options for Warzone within Halo 5: Guardians.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
REQ packs are a tiered, semi-randomized system, with purchased pack providing a series of permanent and consumable cards for the player's REQ collection, with card rarity going in order from Uncommon, to Common, to Rare, to Ultra Rare, to Legendary. A special Ultra Rare and Legendary tier dubbed "Mythic" exists, and cards available under this banner are denoted by a golden banner.
Consumable cards naturally appear in all REQ packs, and unlocking a "Certification" card will make the likelihood of unlocking duplicate consumables much higher in the future; inversely, permanent cards for player cosmetics are single-unlock cards, meaning once an item is unlocked, it will be entirely removed from the possible unlockable REQ pool. REQ Packs can be purchased through real world currency, although players can earn an in-game currency dubbed REQ points
through Halo 5's myriad of multiplayer modes. Consumable cards that the player doesn't want can be sold for a small set amount of REQ points, and the player will be refunded REQ points of varying amounts if they've unlocked all potential new options within a REQ Pack's rarity tier.[1]
REQ Packs were also given as promotional tie-ins, ties to merch, or rewards for competing in real world events.[3]
REQ Pack tiers[edit]
REQ Packs come in four tiers:
- The first tier is reserved for Bronze Packs, rank-based packs up to SR-35, and basic promotional packs which include packs such as the Halo 5 Preview Reward, which grants the player a set of emblems for participation in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta in late 2014.[1]
- The second tier is reserved for Silver Packs, rank-based packs up to SR-145, content update preview packs, seasonal ranked award packs, and intermediate promotional packs. Later additions, including the daily login bonus packs, Spartan Company commendation packs, and the Arena and Warzone daily win packs would also fall under the second tier.
- The third tier is reserved for Gold Packs, rank-based packs from SR-145 through to SR-152, specialized store packs such as those for the Halo Championship Series (HCS), and advanced promotional packs, which usually account for pre-order items.
- The fourth and final tier is unique, being reserved for Platinum Packs, specialized bundles such as the Warzone REQ Bundle, HCS/HWC-specific items, and exclusive promotional packs such as the Memories of Reach REQ Pack, or the Timmy Pack, the latter of which offers an exclusive helmet for playing custom games.
