Pitho

Pitho are an animal species on Suban known to the Sangheili.[1] They are analogous to snakes or serpents, albeit with two tails. During the fighting on Netherop in 2559, Crei 'Ayomuu compared the motion of his "slithering" along the floor to such a creature.[2] It appears pitho can be used as a derogatory term in Sangheili culture, with a Sangheili once calling human “pitho scum” to make known his distaste in them.[1]
