Overkill (Killtacular in Halo 2) is a medal in Halo 2, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite Campaign, Firefight, Multiplayer, and Spartan Ops.
It is earned for killing four enemies quickly. When the player achieves this medal, the announcer will say "Overkill".
Halo: The Master Chief Collection adds the "Overkill" medal icon into Halo: Combat Evolved 's multiplayer.
Trivia[edit]
- In the original versions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, the announcer will say Killtacular instead.
- The announcer would say "Killtacular" in the original version of Halo: Combat Evolved. but the medal didn't exist until Halo 2.
- Earning this medal in the ranked Lone Wolves playlist in Halo 3 matchmaking will unlock both the Overkill achievement, the Commando harness helmet, and the Ascetic harness shoulders.
- In Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians, and Halo Infinite, the kills only need to be within 4.5 seconds of each other, while in all previous Halo games it only needs to be 4 seconds.
