The Hyades system is a star system, known and settled by the UEG.[1]

At the start of the Human-Covenant War, the Office of Naval Intelligence ONI Section Three had established a presence on Nysa in the system.[2]
Following the war and the Created uprising in 2560, the Banished would be drawn to attack the UNSC on Nysa.[3] Swords of Sanghelios and UNSC reinforcements would eventually arrive with the UNSC Fearful Symmetry going to a rendezvous point on the edge of the system.[1]
