Hateriox is an ad hoc unit formed during the Battle for Zeta Halo. It is composed of United Nations Space Command servicemen originally attached to UNSC Infinity in 2559.[1] They are one of a number of ad-hoc militias formed from the survivors of Infinity's destruction to operate on the ring, others including the Gravediggers and the Boat crew.

Following the loss of the organized UNSC resistance at the crashed UNSC Mortal Reverie, a group of survivors formed the Hatetriox as a guerilla unit; the members had named the unit after a portmanteau of "hate" and "Atriox", the founder of the Banished. By March 3, 2560, Hatetriox had destroyed numerous Banished structures, including towers and bridges.[1]
