The ONI Van is a ground vehicle in the Halo: The Master Chief Collection version of Halo: Reach.
The ONI Van is a slow moving, weaponless, two-seater. Both occupants are enclosed and the passenger cannot fire their weapon. It has a horn, makes a beeping sound as it reverses, and it cannot be locked on to by the Banshee's fuel rod cannons.[1]
Universe and lore[edit]
The ONI Van is a modified version of the H9 mid-capacity hauler, manufactured by AMG Transport Dynamics and CSG.[2][3] It is used by the Office of Naval Intelligence.[4]
Gameplay[edit]
Counterparts[edit]
The Truck Cab is the most comparable to the ONI Van in terms of performance, size, and other functionality, especially the variant in the Halo: Reach campaign which has a built-in compartment in the rear.
The Transport Warthog functions similarly in gameplay to the ONI Van, though it is faster than it.
Forge[edit]
- Main article: Forge Objects in Halo: Reach/Vehicles
The ONI Van can be spawned in Halo: Reach's Forge in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It can be found in the "Vehicles (MCC)" category on the maps Tempest and Forge World as "Van, ONI".
