The Frag Grenade is a grenade weapon featured in Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer. This page focuses on the Frag Grenade found in the multiplayer component of Halo 2: Anniversary. Information on the Frag Grenade found in the original Halo 2 game and the campaign of Anniversary can be found here.

Universe and lore

Main article: M9 fragmentation grenade

The Frag Grenade featured in Halo 2: Anniversary is the M9 fragmentation grenade, manufactured by Misriah Armory and used by the United Nations Space Command. The model is reused from that first featured in Halo 4.[2]

Frag Grenades are standard loadout weapons in Halo multiplayer. They perform largely the same as their campaign counterparts and are common fixtures in every map and mode. They are found in almost all of the loadout options.
