In Halo 2, the Energy Sword featured is the Pelosus-pattern energy sword, and is one of the many energy sword variants used by the Covenant military.

In Halo 2: Anniversary, during gameplay, the energy sword takes on the appearance of the Unidentified energy sword pattern from Halo: Reach, while during the cutscenes, it takes on the appearance of the Pelosus-pattern energy sword, like in the original game.
