After the Campaign in Halo 4, where does Master Chief go? What is he doing? He's not still in the UNSC Infinity, because in one of the Spartan Ops Episodes Halsey said, "John was here, on this ship..." implying he's no longer on it. So, where is he? MattL117 (talk) 03:18, 26 May 2013 (EDT)

We don't know, odds are he had a super debriefing by ONI.Sith-venator Wavingstrider (Commlink) 03:24, 26 May 2013 (EDT)
Do you think 343i will ever show what the Master Chief was doing during Spartan Ops? Or will they just skip to the time frame that Halo 5 takes place in? Because there's at least six months between game time lines, right? MattL117 (talk) 03:41, 26 May 2013 (EDT)
I think it's much more likely they'll skip ahead, but it's just a guess.Sith-venator Wavingstrider (Commlink) 14:40, 26 May 2013 (EDT)
He's possibly on Earth. That's where Infinity was last orbiting, after all. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 15:36, 26 May 2013 (EDT)

I believe the debriefing MC had w/ ONI lead to the Requiem campaign and he is probably retired now and chillin w/ blue team (especially now that they partially revealed his face). That could explain those 6 months. Considering that they haven't made any plans towards another season of SpOps and with the release of the xbox 1, there is a possibility that S2 may well be the beginning of Halo 5. That is due to SpOps being mediocre, so 343i probably won't continue the "experiment" but rather begin production on Halo 5. So I believe that Halo 5 will simply pick up where S1 ended. The ending of the main campaign didn't build towards Halo 5 at all but the ending of SpOps did. And if 343i said the story of crimson squad isn't over, there's a possibility that we won't be playing as MC at all (I miss seeing my custom spartan in campaign like Noble 6).--Killamint [Comm|Files] 09:30, 27 May 2013 (EDT)

I can see where you're coming from, but the 343i wants to explore MC's humanity with the Reclaimer trilogy. So, Halo 5 will still have MC as the main character. I can see them doing Spartan Ops S2 on H5 instead of coming up with something new. It'd be easy for the just to do that. But it would be cool if MC did "retire" and meet up with the rest of Blue team, only to get pulled back into the fight, only now, he has part of his family back. It would play on MC's emotional side that's for sure. though I believe Blue teamis still active, if not as their own team, as leaders of specialized Spartan IV teams. So retirement is out of the question, but getting to see MC along side his buds from Blue team would be awesome. MattL117 (talk) 17:15, 27 May 2013 (EDT)
They have to come up with something new since they got rid of the main play space being Requiem. Also it wouldn't make sense to continue spartan ops with H5 since that whole story line built towards H5 or another season for H4. I don't see any logic in continuing the chief's story (especially w/o cortana) unless he's involved in the mess that ended with S1.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 07:40, 28 May 2013 (EDT)
