First Diaspora

The First Diaspora was an event in modern human history beginning in 2080, in which humanity began the process of leaving their homeworld Earth to settle the various planets and moons of the Sol system. It can be contrasted with the later Domus Diaspora, which involved the settlement of hundreds of extrasolar colonies beginning in the 24th century.[1]
The First Diaspora was marked with the settlement of Mars in 2080, becoming the first offworld colony of humanity,[2] and soon followed by the settlement of Luna, the asteroid belt, and the Jovian Moons.[3][4] Despite the newfound resources made available on these new worlds, wars and environmental concerns back on Earth continued to mount, ultimately spilling over into the Interplanetary War of 2160.[1]
