Template:Ratings "ViDocs" are seven minute video documentaries (except for Journey's End) occasionally released by Bungie Studios. These videos give players insight into the creative development processes involved in the progress of Halo 3 and, more recently, Halo 3: ODST.

Contrary to popular belief, ViDoc does not actually stand for "video documentary"; it is a Bungie-created combination of the words "visual", "informational", and "documentation".[1] Each ViDoc has a title in Latin (with the exceptions of Journey's End, Mapmaker, Mapmaker Make Me a Map, and On the Seven7th Day...) that is, somehow, related to the content of the videos. These videos also contain interviews of various Bungie employees working on that aspect of Halo 3, and a great deal of game footage.

Unofficial ViDocs

In addition to the true ViDocs released by Bungie Studios, there are four unofficial ViDocs which were released by Ensemble Studios in weeks leading up to the release of Halo Wars.
