UNSC Army

Template:Infobox Military Unit The UNSC Army is a branch of the UNSC Defense Forces primarily responsible for land-based military operations.
Background
Little is known about the UNSC Army. This may be due to the fact that the Army is a land based fighting force, and thus little of the Army is assigned to the UNSC Navy, with the exception of transport to other planets. Based on its name and hinted role, one can assume that the UNSC Army is mainly for planetary defense. It is also known that the UNSC Army may use different equipment such as the M6J Carbine.[1]
Operations
The only supposed UNSC Army operation could be the Battle of Mare Erythraeum where Colonel James Ackerson led an unknown number of Army infantry forces against the Brute Commander Lepidus on Mars.
Ranks
Because the UNSC Navy and Marine Corps ranks are U.S. Military Ranks, it can be assumed that the UNSC Army's ranks are also.

Trivia
- While no Army units have been identified, Tango Company might be one. Its members are referred to as soldiers, not Marines. However, until further information is revealed, it is assumed that Tango Company is a Marine unit.
- The only known confirmed member of the UNSC Army is Colonel James Ackerson, an intelligence officer in the ONI who was once an infantryman. He is seen in an Army Dress Uniform.
- The UNSC Army has its own variant of the M6; the M6J Carbine.
- The Colonial Militia could be part of the UNSC Army.
- There is a joke that there are actually two UNSC Armies, the Reds and the Blues.
