Task force

Template:Ratings A Task Force is an organization of Covenant ships, usually organized on a temporary basis and for a specific mission. A Task Force is smaller than a Fleet. It is the rough equivalent of a UNSC Battle Group in terms of the number of ships. It is commanded by a Zealot Elite with the title of Fleet Master.
Task forces usually contain anywhere from a handful of ships to several dozen. Task forces are not named as Covenant fleets are, and there has been no indication if their temporary nature renders them any naming merit at all.
Appearances
A Covenant task force was sent to Harvest, it numbered less than a dozen vessels.
Another Covenant task force was sent to Earth, led by the High Prophet of Regret. Its aims were unclear, but it was defeated in the First Battle of Earth. It numbered fifteen ships, two Assault Carriers and thirteen CCS-class Battlecruisers.[1]
Voro Nar 'Mantakree was put in charge of a task force by Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree to pursue the captured Bloodied Spirit. Most of this Fleet was destroyed in the Battle of Onyx.[2]
