Major is a common rank both in the Covenant and the UNSC. It may refer to any of the following:

Halo Universe[edit]

Human[edit]

Major - Field Grade officer rank of the UNSC Air Force, UNSC Army and UNSC Marine Corps.
Major General - General officer rank in the Air Force, Army and Marine Corps.
Sergeant Major - The highest enlisted rank in the Army and Marine Corps.

Covenant[edit]

Jiralhanae Major - Jiralhanae infantryman with blue armor.
Jiralhanae Captain Major - Jiralhanae captains in golden armor.
Kig-Yar Major - Kig-Yar infantryman with an orange shield.
Sangheili Major - Sangheili veteran infantryman with red armor.
Unggoy Major - Unggoy infantryman with red armor.
Yanme'e Major - Yanme'e airborne infantryman with armor.
