The Mammoth [1][2] is a heavy wheeled vehicle used by the UNSC Defense Force in the wake of the Human-Covenant War.
Specifications
It is a six-wheeled (6x6) vehicle and presumably fills a role very similar to the Marine Corps' M313 Elephant as a dual-role command and support/heavy recovery vehicle. Albeit much larger, it also features an internal bay used to store and deploy much smaller vehicles such as the M12 Warthog light reconnaissance vehicle and the M274 Mongoose all terrain vehicle which can exit the vehicle through a ramp at the front. Operational history
Many of these vehicles were used by the Template:UNSCship's Marine contingent on Requiem in the summer of 2557.[4] During the vessel's turbulent approach into the shield world, at least two of these vehicles crushed surrounding areas of their hangar bay, presumably damaging themselves under their own weight.[5]
