Kelvin Research Station is a United Nations Space Command research space station located within the vicinity of Pluto.[1][Note 1] The facility is primarily involved with the research and analysis of Forerunner-derived hyperscanner technology and other FTL sensor technologies.[2]

The station is presumably an undesirable posting for UNSC personnel; Codename: SURGEON once made a reminder that he should find the "fool interrogators" who accused Preston Cole of colluding with Lyrenne Castilla, and have them transferred to the station.[1]

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Codename: SURGEON refers to the station as being "on Pluto", however the agent was likely speaking colloquially as the Halo Encyclopedia (2009 edition) states that there are no facilities on Pluto's surface, although there are several orbiting the planet. This is supported by the later Halo Encyclopedia (2022 edition), which specifies that Pluto has several stations orbiting it or stationed by.
