In Amber Clad is twelfth track in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 1.

Overview[edit]

The piece begins with a violin section until, at around 0:14, when other instruments join in. Then, at about 0:29, a drum sets in with an electric guitar, which plays the melody from the Lost Muse (a piece of music in Halo: Combat Evolved which was missing from Halo: Original Soundtrack). This continues on until approximately 1:23, except the guitar continues on and finishes the piece.

The piece is a spiritual sequel to Under Cover of Night from Halo: Original Soundtrack, featuring similar instruments and melody for its strings part.

Appearances[edit]

A percussion-only version plays in the Halo 2 campaign level Delta Halo, when John-117 commandeers a M12 Warthog after clearing the landing zone. The full version of the track plays later in the level during the chapter "Off The Rock, Through The Bush, Nothing But Jackal".
