An advertisement for the band seen on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary's version of the bulletin board.

Fist of the Unicorn was a band made up of crewmen from the Template:UNSCship in 2552. Notice of an encore performance scheduled for "Saturday 1600 hours" in the ship's main hangar was placed on the ship's bulletin board.[1] The band featured Specialist Van Kalletta on "lead guitarz" as well as replacement drummer PFC Dimitrov.

Trivia

  • The numbers 0117 appear to be incorporated into the band's logo on the poster, partially obscured by Dimitrov's name.
  • As the poster can be seen when the Pillar of Autumn arrives at Installation 04 on Tuesday September 19th, the performance would have been scheduled for Saturday the 23rd.
  • The band is part of 343 Industries' running unicorn gag, which was referenced again in Halo 4 with the FOTUS armor.
  • In the Halo 2: Anniversary campaign level Outskirts, there are posters on several walls advertising a Fist of the Unicorn cover band called Fluke of the Narwal.
