Didact's Gift

The Didact's Gift was a Forerunner device located on Requiem, where lies the "soul" for a Promethean Knight.
History
At some point Jul 'Mdama acquired this device. During Fireteam Crimson's pursuit of 'Mdama, Sarah Palmer called in an airstrike which forced 'Mdama to drop the device during his escape. Crimson quickly secured the device and brought it to Galileo Base for examination. The Covenant-Promethean alliance quickly launched an attack on Galileo Base to retrieve this device. Crimson was in the area and managed to hold off the attack, while Fireteam Majestic arrived soon after to retrieve it.[1]
After being taken to the UNSC Infinity, Dr. Catherine Halsey and IA Roland began study it, with Halsey indicating the similarity of the artifact with UNSC's AI matrix compiler. Suddenly, the device began to make memories of those who died in the attack on New Phoenix.[2]
