Cullen was a member of the UNSC Navy and served as a crew chief for Pelican dropships. In 2552, he was assigned to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn and Pelican Echo 419 under Flight Captain Carol "Foehammer" Rawley.[1] A crew chief's duties entail maintaining the spacecraft, ensuring it is space worthy and capable of making all the sorties with which it has been tasked.
