New Jerusalem was a large human city on the Outer Colony world of Cygnus in the Cygnus system.
History
The city was discovered by the Covenant before or during July 2552 or August 2552 and was known to be defended by the UNSC Army and 26th Marine Expeditionary Force, who suffered "near annihilation" in the Battle of New Jerusalem.

New Jerusalem is named after the city of Jerusalem in Israel and Palestinian territories, located on Earth, in the middle east.
