::::Actually, what I meant was that with two images (same resolution and detail), the PNG image would take up around 5-10 times the space the JPEG does due to different formatting. PNGs should only be used for transparent cutouts (I noticed on the Scattershot page that you've mistaken white to transparent backgrounds.) The JPEG files I've uploaded is better because I have a better image source, not because of format. I asked you to upload in JPEGs because Wikia doesn't allow a JPEG file to be uploaded as a "new version" of a PNG file and vice versa, so I have to upload the high-res versions as a separate file... Okay, hope that wasn't too convoluted :) -Kronos101 15:49, 4 June 2012 (EDT) | ::::Actually, what I meant was that with two images (same resolution and detail), the PNG image would take up around 5-10 times the space the JPEG does due to different formatting. Sorry about all of the hassle I've caused you. I'll just try and stay away from uploading or editing images from E3; it's evidently clear that none of images that match Halopedia's standards, nor do I have a clear understanding of achieving that aim.--<span style="color:blue">Brute Honour Guard</span> (<span style="color:black">"Talk"</span>) 16:09, 4 June 2012 (EDT) |

Preview is your friend:).--ハローファン (H1234-NET) 14:54, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
- Yeah, sorry about that. I often make punctuation/formatting mistakes which I do not notice the first within my first edit. I'll use the preview button within the future. I apologise.--Brute Honour Guard ("Talk") 15:01, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
It's all good.--ハローファン (H1234-NET) 15:15, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
Image:Ark.jpg
Actually, image:Ark.jpg already existed as something else, so I had to revert it. You can still upload the image under a different file name, though. -- SFH 15:26, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
- Sorry about that, I didn't see the warning. Thanks for reverting it for me.--Brute Honour Guard ("Talk") 16:30, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
- Also, again, Image:Oni.jpg is also used on Veronica Dare's page. Once again, you can upload it under a different name. -- SFH 14:49, 10 August 2011 (EDT)
- Once again, I'm sorry for failing to see the warning. I was in a bit of a rush while posting those images.--Brute Honour Guard ("Talk") 15:03, 10 August 2011 (EDT)

Awesome Images
...BUT can you crop out the black lines on the top and bottom? The images look rather odd with them. Just use MS Paint (LOL) or Photoshop. :) Thanks.—S331 (When I played Halo: CE, we didn't have any fancy-shmancy armor abilities...) 09:57, 5 September 2011 (EDT)
- Okay, I'll get right to it. Also, thank you very much for compliment my use of images.--Brute Honour Guard ("Talk") 13:17, 5 September 2011 (EDT)
Legends images
Question: why are they all low quality? — subtank 19:49, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- Well, I suppose YouTube isn't the best source to screenshot images. Not to mention the fact that the only decent videos I could find only went up to 300p in terms of image quality. I still thought it would be worth uploading them because after recently watching The Duel, I was rather impressed with the visuals of Sangheili culture and of Sangheilios itself. I thought it would be a large contribution to various articles. I can attempt to look for a better source on the internet, if you wish? But that is my only option because I lack a capture card and a copy of Halo Legends.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 20:03, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- I shall upload them, but they would be limited to 1280px... but quality matters and 1440px is still close to 1280px.— subtank 20:21, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- Wow, thank you very much for doing that. I really appreciate it. I'm sure they will look far better. Also, I'll try and maintain a decent use of image quality within the future.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 20:32, 1 November 2011 (EDT)

The Mute Mapper
Just a minor request: can you rename the "The Silent Cartographer (Achievement)" to "The Silent Cartographer (achievement)" on your user page? I'm unifying the achievements' naming format. Thanks. :D —S331 (The anti-social contributor who talks too little.) 10:08, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
- No problem. Consider it done.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 16:42, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
CEA images
I noticed you managed to get a few screenshots from Halo Anniversary. If possible, do you think you could get one of Carol Rawley (Foe Hammer). She can be seen through the window of the Pelican cockpit. It may be easier if you jump on a warthog or something.--Soul reaper 02:02, 3 December 2011 (EST)
- Well, I didn't make them. I found them on the french Halopedia: [1]
- Additionally, I don't actually own a capture card of my own. So if I do find an image of Foe Hammer, it will have to be from a source originating from the internet.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 09:21, 3 December 2011 (EST)
New Halo 4 screens
Could you stop uploading PNG images unless they are going to be replaced with transparent cutouts in the future? I will upload high-res JPEGs as replacements in a few moments. -Kronos101 14:57, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
- I thought it would be ideal to upload such images in a similar fashion to how 343i originally uploaded them? After all, they appeared as PNG images on Halo Waypoint. But feel free to delete them, if doing so is really required; I have no problems with that.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 15:20, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
- PNG files takes up much more space without any quality improvement; using Paint to change them into JPEGs is better. Anyway, I've uploaded around forty renders and screenshots; what do you think about the quality? -Kronos101 15:25, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
- After inspecting both images, it is clear that the JPEG versions are vastly superior to their PNG counterparts, I really can see a great difference in terms of detail and colour. I'll try and keep what you've said in mind next time I upload images.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png ("Talk") 15:35, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
