A Fracture, also known as Fractures, is a piece of Halo fiction considered part of a different "branch" of Halo lore to the normal Halo universe.[1]
Branches
Tenrai

This Fractures branch has Yoroi armor in it.[2]
Mythic

This Fracture branch has Belos, Blackgruard, and Drengr armor in it.[1]
Production notes
Fracture are used as events in Halo Infinite and Halo: The Master Chief Collection to explain why certain armor exists. Such as Yoroi, and specific Season 8: Mythic items in their relevant games.[1][2]
