Trained as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, he and fellow ODST Mal Geffen were hand picked by the Office of Naval Intelligence to serve under Captain Serin Osman during a diplomatic mission to Sanghelios in 2553. They also participated in a covert operation to board a Covenant ship and capture a Huragok, and at one point during their mission, they came across the survivors from Onyx's micro Dyson sphere. Noted as being an ordinary Marine with a strong moral compass, Corporal Beloi was shocked when he discovered the young age of some of the SPARTAN-IIIs.[1]
