Talk:List of Halo: Reach medals

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Old Discussion[edit]

I've started making the tables and will continue to edit them unless someone beats me to it... but my editing speed is slow. After the tables have been finished, I can start replacing old images. -TheLostJedi 20:42, 14 November 2010 (EST)

ill get to uploading those images--Ender the Xenocide 23:31, 23 November 2010 (EST)
okay as far as im concerned, this page is finished--Ender the Xenocide 05:30, 24 November 2010 (EST)
Great job. You did this much faster than I could have done. Befitting of the article, you deserve a medal. I'll update the Halo: Reach medal images this week, like I said I would when the page was ready, that's a promise. :) -TheLostJedi 22:08, 29 November 2010 (EST)
Uploaded the new medal images and made a few minor edits to the article. If I can get round to it sometime I'll upload some better images for Halo 3's article, but that's no promise. LostJedi out. -TheLostJedi 19:45, 4 December 2010 (EST)

Other Images[edit]

Hail to the King! (Frenzy)
Hail to the King! (Riot)

So as the articles lists, there are indeed 118 images on bungie.net for medals. They include Halo: Reach era renditions of things like "Hail to the King-Frenzy" and "Hail to the King-Riot", "Killed VIP" and the long forgotten "Vehicle Kill" last seen in the Halo 3 beta. But anyone think they're worth adding at the bottom of the current medal list on the article page? -TheLostJedi 11:16, 21 January 2011 (EST)

I've uploaded two images for reference, so you guys know what kind of medals I'm talking about. There are more, but I'd rather get a second opinion before uploading them all. -TheLostJedi 17:57, 4 March 2011 (EST)

Go ahead and add them in. It can't hurt to have a more complete page.DatrDeletr 19:14, 4 March 2011 (EST)

I agree. There's no good reason why they shouldn't be on the page already.--One who survived 17:51, 5 August 2011 (EDT)

Medal Re-Uploads[edit]

Hi, I don't really edit this wiki anymore, but back in the golden age of Halo, I uploaded a tonne of medal images for this page. I never noticed that someone re-uploaded those images after I did. The images that I uploaded were images sourced cleanly and directly from Bungie.net. The images I uploaded were a lower file size than the current images, so I presume an advantage for the wiki as it would take less storage and loading time etc. Whilst they were also a perfect 90x90px, great for a square table. The replacement uploads are an uneven 83x86px for example. So just out of curiosity, why would such a change be made? I'd like to know the advantages of having a larger file size/uneven image. Seems a bit of a frivolous/detrimental edit to me. -TheLostJedi 05:55, 2 May 2017 (EDT)

Hi Jedi! Haven't seen you in a while. From the article's logs, I note that there hasn't been any change to the file links and the images themselves remained the same ones that you uploaded in 2010. Can you explain what has been changed? — subtank 09:47, 6 May 2017 (EDT)
